Heal the People – Heal the Planet!

This webmaster is currently waiting to leave emergency care, but from my trusty iPhone is reporting we got to about 180 treatments as of 5pm. Thanks to all practitioners and the public who supported this effort!

Our goal is to provide a total of 350 (or more!) treatments while raising public awareness around a standard of 350 ppm (parts per million) for carbon emissions in the atmosphere, in advance of the climate treaty talks in Copenhagen this December. Although global levels currently exceed the 350 ppm (we are at 390), more stringent standards can possibly reverse this upward trend and prevent runaway climate change. Climate change is a REALLY BIG issue. As individuals, we wonder what we can do that would even have an impact – will our actions make a difference? Will our voices be heard by those who are making environmental decisions? October 24th is International Climate Change Day. On October 24th, join with Tea Party Bookshop and numerous local health care practitioners for a day of healing and activism! Be part of this Global Day of Climate Action in conjunction with 350.org, and together we can promote awareness with action. Tea Party Bookshop and Synergy Productions will be offering acupuncture, massage therapies and reiki treatments to the public free of charge!

350 at Tea Party Bookshop will be one of 1784 events across 141 countries on October 24th, so this truly is a global movement! By joining together in this grand fashion, we send a message to the decision makers that we care about the health of our planet, and we support a stricter standard, for everyone’s sake. These treatments given to individuals will enhance their personal health and harmony, and in turn, enhance the collective well-being.

In addition to the treatments being given, will be a HUGE Alternative Health Faire, encompassing many holistic practitioners, vendors and activist groups, who will present information relating to healthier living, alternative therapies and new ways you can affect healthy change locally and globally.
