Meet Michael Cook from the City Repair Project

Learn about making Space into Place

Mr. Cook is the presentation coordinator for City Repair, of Portland Oregon. City Repair is now doing outreach beyond Portland, mentoring to foster community and positive transformation. Michael will explain what City Repair is and what consensus building is. He will speak about the business and government response to the City Repair organization. There will also be an announcing of the date of the tea horse event at bush park here in Salem. The participants at this event will be invited to break out into small workgroups, and be given hands on action items they can take with them for making a better community.

Below, is the fabled T-Horse. It is a mobile tea house and public gathering place that travels to different Portland neighborhoods, providing a comfortable, creative atmosphere where people can meet their neighbors and form community bonds.
